I say that the essential point in the life of an individual as well as in a community one, the point that decides the effectiveness of any reform, and each program and each method, the point at which, in ultimately, it is brought back, so, is always this: if there is or there is the universal longing, the disposition to regard and treat ourselves as instruments of a work that goes beyond us, the inner prod duty, the conscientious scruples that asks us we to be able to use our time and makes us blush when we spend it in vile thoughts and vile actions, or when we watch it scroll in front of us as if it was not ours.
